A week of firsts!

Hard to believe that little Ellie Kate is 3 and a half weeks old! She is a VERY alert baby. I hear newborns are supposed to sleep 16-20 hours per day...not this newborn! Though, I can't complain, as she is a very good girl at night. She still wakes up every 2.5-3 hours, but goes right back to sleep after a feeding. My parents have been here the past week and a half. I am not ready for them to leave! They have been nice enough to take the 3 am and the 6 am feedings!!! We have been very spoiled. I have regained some much needed sleep, and Paul has been able to return to work a bit more rested. We are excited for Mark and Ginny to come visit next, in just a few days. It was also nice to have uncle Tom and aunt Christa come visit from California for a long weekend.

Ellie has had many firsts the past week or two. Here are a few of them...

Here we are trying to "play" for the first time...she is not sure about it!

This was our first trip to the doctor for her 2 week check up. She did well.


And this is Ellie meeting her first set of grandparents for the first time...they were hooked immediately!

She relaxed right away in the water, and just looked all around.
